President of the Republic of Korea, Mun Zhe Ying, is expected to meet with the chairman of the presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly (parliament) Kim Yong Nam, who this week will visit the country as the head of the Pyongyang delegation at the Olympic Games in South Korean Pyeongchang. This is reported on Monday by the agency Yonhap News.

"President Mun Zhe Ying will meet with Kim Yong Nam, starting with the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games," the agency's representative from the office of the President of the Republic of Korea said. "However, it remains to be discussed with the North Korean delegation whether Kim Yong Nam and Mun Zhe In will meet one-on-one," he added.

As another representative of the presidential office added, at the moment there has been no decision on this issue, as there were no concrete proposals for a meeting on the part of the DPRK.

Earlier it became known that the chairman of the presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK will lead the Pyongyang delegation at the Olympic Games in South Korean Pyeongchang. Then the North Korean side notified that Kim Yong Nam will lead a delegation of three people, they will be accompanied by another 18 people. They will be in the Republic of Korea from 9 to 11 February.

At the beginning of the year there was a warming in the relationship between Seoul and Pyongyang. As a result of several rounds of talks at the border crossing point of Panmunjom, agreements were reached to send a delegation of athletes, officials and artists from the DPRK to the Olympics in Pyeongchang, which will be held from 9 to 25 February.
