A MUM has hit out at Amazon after a 'Call Santa' app threatened to kill her three-year-old daughter.

Kersty Taylor warned parents to check their kids' tablets to make sure the sick 'Santa Call New 2018' app hasn't been downloaded.

When kids press the 'call' button, the app appears to dial Santa before a sinister voice answers accompanied by Christmas music.

It croaks: "Hello there. Can you hear me?

"In five nights, if you're free, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."

Writing on Facebook, Kirsty fumed: "What sort of sick and twisted person would make an app for children to call Santa into this?

"I've reported it. If everyone else could do the same! Some people int the world need help urgently."

The app had been downloaded from the Children's Amazon store by her son Finlee, 12.

It was then used by her daughter Evie-Elizabeth, who came to Kersty in tears after the threat.

Amazon have vowed to contact the app's publisher to demand an explanation.
