A FEMALE paedophile who lured a girl aged under ten into her home and forced her to perform a sex act on her has been caged.

Twisted Eileen McBrien, 62, was caught after the brave victim told her mum about the "harrowing" attack in Manchester in August 2017.

The fiend then put her young victim through a further ordeal after pleading not guilty - making her relieve the horror through a trial, police said.

She has now been jailed for six years after being convicted of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity by jurors at Manchester Crown Court.

McBrien must sign the sex offenders register and is also subject to a sexual harm prevention order for the rest of her life.

The court was told McBrien lured the girl to her home in Ancoats, Manchester, and forced her to perform a sex act on her.

Police launched an investigation after the victim raised the alarm and McBrien was arrested.

The girl has now been praised by cops for her bravery after she came forward to help put McBrien behind bars.

Sergeant Laura Halley, of GMP’s City of Manchester borough, said: "This is a harrowing case involving a young child who bravely disclosed what had happened to her.

"As a result of her telling her mother we were able to swiftly arrest McBrien and I hope this case demonstrates just how seriously we take reports of this nature.

"By pleading not guilty, McBrien made the young victim relive her ordeal through the trial and caused further trauma.

"The family and victim have been through an extremely difficult time and hopefully this sentence will bring them some closure and allow them to move on with their lives."
