Accused killer Hannah Quinn has walked out of Silverwater Correctional Centre after being granted bail earlier in the day.

The 23-year-old and her boyfriend Blake Davis are accused of murdering Jett McKee after he broke into their Forest Lodge home in Sydney’s inner-west in broad daylight last Friday.

Earlier today Quinn sobbed in court as she was granted bail. Her parents have since paid her $60,000 surety and she has been released from custody.

Quinn was today also charged with being an accessory to the murder of Mr McKee, known in Sydney hip-hop circles as Scepaz.

Quinn's defence lawyer Tom Hughes told Newtown Local Court the prosecution case against his client was weak, claiming after the attack she screamed “what the f*** have you done”.

Mr Hughes claimed Quinn's cry eradicated any suggestion she knew her boyfriend was about to kill Mr McKee.

The court also heard 30-year-old Mr McKee, who had a known gambling problem, broke into the couple's home around lunchtime demanding cash.

Police facts state neighbours heard Davis shout “we don’t have any money”, before Mr McKee punched him in the face with knuckledusters and fled.

Speaking outside of court, Quinn's mother Megan Quinn said she thanked the media for keeping an open mind about the case.

"I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has supported my family," she said.

"And I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Jett McKee's family. I hope that his family is getting support too. My heart goes out to them.”

Her lawyer told reporters Quinn was pleased to be getting out of jail. Prosecutors did not comment as they left the court.

It is not known what Mr McKee wanted when he broke into the property, but he allegedly fled after getting into an argument with the couple and punching Davis in the face.

The couple allegedly gave chase, with Davis arming himself with a samurai sword.

Quinn allegedly tackled Mr McKee to the ground before Davis struck him in the head with the blade.

Police will also allege as Mr McKee lay dying in the street, the couple fled to a nearby alleyway just metres away and hid.

Detectives later recovered their mobile phones, a fake gun, and $21,000 in cash.

The couple allegedly went home after the killing, changed their clothes and dumped the weapon.

Quinn and Davis will return to court in October.
