A BRIT dancer who fell overboard from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in the early hours of Christmas Day had posted cryptic tweets just days before.

Arron Hough, 20, disappeared from the Harmony of the Seas some 267 miles off Puerto Rico about 4am.

His last Tweet has since been revealed, with the young man writing: "Beneath the water is beauty.. Always look beneath the surface before you decide on things".

The young man's disappearance has sparked a huge search, with a HC-130 Hercules airplane crew from Clearwater and the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Resolute called in.

The cruise ship was off Aguadilla, Puerto Rico at the time Arron disappeared and is based Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.

Arron, from Sunderland, was a cast member of the musical "Grease" which was being performed onboard the ship.

He only began working for Royal Caribbean this year after graduating from the Urdang Academy theatre school in London.

The Urdang Academy tweeted: "We are all praying for @Arronhoughxox and his family. Please keep up your hope and faith that he is found safe and sound as soon as possible.”

Royal Caribbean International said a member of the entertainment team onboard the Harmony of the Seas ship did not report to work as scheduled on 25 December.

They said in a statement; "We are saddened to report that after a review of the ship's closed-circuit camera footage, he was observed entering an area on Deck 5 at around 4am and was not seen again."

"Local authorities were notified and a ship-wide search for the crew member was conducted."

The company says its care team is providing support his family, adding that its "thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time".

Others shared their thoughts and prayers for Arron.

Fellow singer and actor Andy Rose said: "Always have and always will be a family at the Urdang Academy #PrayForArron".

And Kathryn-Anne Rivers added: "So heart breaking! Praying for Arron and for everyone Urdang Academy and especially Arrons family that your boy is brought home!

"Such an incredible young man!"

Royal Caribbean reported 20-year-old Arron Hough overboard on Harmony of the Seas on Christmas Day. The Coast Guard continued to search for him on Wednesday.

Royal Caribbean said Harmony of the Sears is currently sailing on a 7-night itinerary that departed Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Sunday, December 23.

The ship is first due to call at Philipsburg, on St. Maarten, and then sails on to San Juan, Puerto Rico and Labadee, Haiti before returning home, said the company.

In the days running up to his disappearance he posted on Facebook about life onboard saying: "Exploring new places. Follow the waves."

A friend of Arron said she was “heartbroken beyond words” at the news.

“Arron is the type of person people can only wish to have in their lives,” the unnamed friend told MailOnline.

“He lights up any room like no one else can and everyone who knows and loves him has so many happy and cherished memories.

“His infectious laugh and beaming smile is enough to pull anyone out from feeling down in the dumps.

“He’s helped me through some of the hardest times in my life and for that I’m eternally grateful.

“I hope and pray we get our Arron back home where he belongs, the light of our lives has gone out."
