A TEENAGER has been left with "majour trauma" after a car ploughed into a group of revellers outside a nightclub this morning.

A 19-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following the Christmas Eve horror in Liverpool.

Two teens - both aged 19 - were attempting to cross a road at around 2.44am when the white car smashed into them - with one thrown to the ground by the opened driver's side door.

A second was pulled under the bumper and dragged for 20 metres before the car drove over him.

The car then sped off leaving him lying motionless on the ground outside Diablos nightclub.

One of the men is understood to have suffered a "major trauma" and is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

The other was described as "walking wounded" by North West Ambulance Service.

A Merseyside Police spokesman: "Officers were called at 2.45am to reports of two male pedestrians having been in collision with a car.

"A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable, a second 19-year-old man was also taken to hospital with minor facial injuries.

"The driver of the white Ford Kuga car did not stop at the scene and officers are investigating the incident.

"We can confirm a 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving."
