Man breaks into woman’s home and sucks her toes claiming to be a ‘Zeus-like God’
A HOMELESS man who believes he is a Greek god “destined to seduce women” broke into a lady’s home and sucked on her toes while she slept.
Richard Parkhurst, 29, appeared in court last week after being arrested for the entering the victim’s home in Seal Beach, California in October 2017.
Mr Parkhurst, who suffers from schizophrenia, told his lawyer that he believes his off-spring will create a “super race” which will save the Earth.
Explaining his client’s reasoning for breaking into the property, attorney Robert Florry said: “Mr Parkhurst developed a delusion that he was a Zeus-like god who was sent down from the stars to seduce women.
“It was his destiny to seduce women and they would willingly have his children.
“Mr Parkhurst believes that is progeny will create a super race that will save the planet."
Court papers show that before he snuck into the woman’s home, Mr Parkhurst exposed himself to another lady in a park who was walking her dog.
He is said to have said to the woman: "Nice dog. I am walking mine, too," according to the court documents.
On the subject of the break-in, prosecutors told the court that the female victim “was sleeping on her couch and woke up when she realised (Parkhurst) was sucking on her toes” reports NBC.
Mr Florry said his client’s “delusion” was caused when he stopped taking his medication for his schizophrenia after his girlfriend died and he became homeless.
Parkhurst “began hearing voices emanating from his television, telling him to do things” his attorney said.
He was hospitalised following his arrest.
Prosecutors said Mrt Parkhurst was seen touching himself while watching a female guard at the Seal Beach jail in Orange County.
A jury found Mr Parkhurst guilty of all charges against him – one felony burglary count and three misdemeanors. He is due to be sentenced on April 5.
