A MAN has denied murder after allegedly stabbing a fellow train passenger to death.

Darren Pencille, 35, pleaded not guilty to fatally knifing Lee Pomeroy on the London-bound train, a day before the victim's 52nd birthday.

Mr Pomeroy died from multiple stab wounds on the Horsley train station platform on January 4.

Pencille today pleaded not guilty to murder.

He also denied a charge of possession of an offensive weapon.

Chelsea Mitchell, 27, Farnham, has denied assisting an offender by helping Mr Pencille to leave the scene and change his appearance.

It is alleged she bought him clippers and a razor.

A trial date has been set for 24 June.
