LEGALLY Blonde actor Luke Wilson and golfer Bill Haas have been involved in a car crash that left one person dead and two injured.

The Sun reports a car being driven by Wilson, 46, the brother of Owen Wilson, was hit by a Ferrari just before the horrific smash in Los Angeles which a local fire department initially said left Haas badly hurt.

The crash involved a Ferrari and a BMW in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood at 6.31pm last night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Wilson is not believed to have been injured and his car was clipped as a result of the crash.

The driver of the Ferrari, in which 35-year-old Haas was travelling, was pronounced dead at the scene while two others were taken to a nearby hospital.

Detective Jeff Fischer of the LAPD told local television station KTLA: “I can confirm Luke Wilson was driving the vehicle, the Toyota FJ that was travelling northbound.

“His vehicle just basically got clipped by the Ferrari.

“Mr Bill Haas was the passenger in the Ferrari. Apparently, from what I was told, he’s doing OK too.”

Haas has now been released from hospital after being a passenger in a car crash which left one person dead and two injured, police in Los Angeles have said.

Haas’ father, Jay, told the Golf Channel that his son has pain and swelling in his leg but suffered no broken bones. He is expected to make a full recovery.

“Bill was very fortunate,” Jay Haas said.

World number 67 Haas was due to contest this week’s PGA Tour event, the Genesis Open, at the nearby Riviera Country Club.

A statement from the Los Angeles Fire Department said the two people injured — a 35-year-old male and 50-year-old female — and originally said “both in serious condition”.
