POLICE last night called on lone women to be “vigilant” as they hunted a knifeman thought to be responsible for two random attacks.

One victim, in her 60s, was stabbed on her way home from buying fish and chips in Bow, East London, on Friday night.

Another, 57, was knifed several times on Sunday night.

She was taken to hospital and last night her condition was unknown.

The suspect is black, in his 40s, of large build with “big hair”. On both occasions he fled on foot.
