THIS is the moment a lawyer realizes he is about to be assassinated last night and coolly hands over his little girl to safety.

CCTV footage shows 46-year-old André Ribeiro pulling up in his car outside at an address in the Brazilian state of Permambuco where his killer had been waiting for him.

Mr Ribeiro is seen getting out and walking over to open the car's back door through which he is handed his daughter.

The woman then gets out but at this point the killer, dressed in a white t-shirt and baseball cap, appears and points his handgun at the dad.

But amazingly, he calmly hands his daughter to the lady, who also seems cool-headed.

He then gets down on the ground and the murderer fires five bullets into him at point blank range before fleeing the crime scene.

Mr Ribeiro died instantly. The child was unhurt as was the woman - which some local media reports say was his wife, while others say was a maid.

The motive for the killing remains unknown - but do believe it was an execution rather than a robbery because nothing was stolen.

It comes as footage emerged showing the dramatic moment a hit-man tried to kill a New York mafia boss son in a botched Soprano's style hit.
