A DOG walker bit a jogger who pepper-sprayed her mutt which had tried to take a bite out of her, it’s alleged.

Nineteen-year-old Alma Cadwalader of Oakland was arrested by police after the bizarre incident in the Anthony Chabot Regional Park in Castro Valley.

It is claimed a dog tried to attack the runner who then used pepper spray to fend off the animal.

But police say Cadwalader, who was the dog’s owner, then confronted the jogger, tackling and punching her.

When she was then pushed away, police say Cadwalader bit the woman’s forearm, leaving “significant wounds”.

She was booked on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury, false imprisonment with violence and robbery for allegedly taking the jogger’s pepper spray.

Lt.Terrence Cotcher told local station KTVU: “She was accosted by the dog.

“She tried to defend herself by pepper-spraying one dog but the spray tends to go everywhere."

The two women went to the ground and the victim was subsequently bitten by the suspect in the forearm, it's claimed.
