A MAN has been charged with several offences following an altercation at a home in Mirrabooka spilled into the street, with police alleging two men were armed with a knife and machete.

Police say the incident started in Lambourne Retreat at about 5.25pm on Saturday when a 47-year-old arrived at the home of family members with his 24-year-old female partner.

An altercation began between the man and a 19-year-old male and female in the house.

Police allege the man, who was armed with a knife, threatened the pair and the feud continued on the road.

Police believed the 19-year-old man armed himself with a machete and the 47-year-old received an injury to his arm. He was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital by ambulance.

The 47-year-old has been charged with going armed in a way that may cause fear, threaten to kill, and breach of bail.

He will have a bedside court hearing in hospital today.

Inquiries are continuing into the incident.
