MOSCOW, March 27 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan told about the financial losses of the country from the construction and the subsequent commissioning of the bridge across the Kerch Strait, the agency UNN.

"There are losses, they are tens of millions of hryvnia, according to preliminary estimates," Omelyan said.

The Minister also lamented that the Russian side did not agree with Kiev on the issue of erecting and launching the crossing, and called the Kuban "Ukrainian".

In November 2017, Omelyan called for additional sanctions against Russia to be put in place to stop the construction of the Crimean bridge.

Earlier, one of the leaders of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Lenur Islyamov announced his intention to block traffic on the highway, and to impose sanctions against people entering the peninsula in this way.

The bridge across the Kerch Strait, which will connect the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, will be the longest in Russia - its length will be 19 kilometers. Beginning of vehicles on the bridge is scheduled for December 2018.
