MOSCOW, July 22 - RIA Novosti. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Israeli authorities had evacuated the White Helmets from Syria with their families, including at the request of US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the office said.

"A few days ago, President (US Donald) Trump, as well as Prime Minister of Canada (Justin) Trudeau and others asked us to help get out of Syria hundreds of" White Helmets. "These are people who saved lives, but now they themselves were under and that's why I allowed them to go through Israel to other countries, and this is an important humanitarian step, "the office said on Twitter.

The southern part of Syria, bordering on Israel, gradually passes under the control of government troops, which force out opposition forces by force and negotiations. Earlier, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that the Israeli authorities evacuated the members of the White Helmets with their families at the request of the United States, Canada and European countries from Syria "to a neighboring country." Local media write that during the night operation, approximately 800 people were transported through Israel to Jordan. According to the CBC, a secret international operation for the export of "White Helmets" was conducted with the participation of Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Canada.

The organization White Helmets, widely known and supported in the West, declared its goal to save civilians in combat zones, but is accused by the Syrian authorities of links with extremists and conducting hostile propaganda activities.

The organization has gained fame thanks to commercials on the Internet, in which people in a characteristic uniform are saving children from under the rubble. However, at the same time, materials appeared that made it possible to suspect the "White Helmets" in staging shoots with making up "victims" and instructing them to talk to the camera.

In the Russian Foreign Ministry, the White Helmets activities were called an element of an information campaign to denigrate the Syrian authorities. Syrian leader Bashar Assad accused the organization of links with Al-Qaeda *.
