A COUPLE dubbed Britain's fattest husband and wife lost 28st to save their lives — but will have to lose more to have a baby.

Andrew and Sharon Hill weighed 62st between them when they tied the knot back in 2012.

Both of them had to have surgery to lose weight after being declared super morbidly obese by concerned doctors.

Sharon, who was once Britain's fattest woman at a whopping 48st, lost 18 stone after having part of her stomach removed four years ago.

And husband Andrew had the same op to lop 10st off his 37st total.

The couple from Gloucestershire want to start a family but will need to lose even more weight to increase their chances of successfully conceiving.

Sharon told The Mirror: "I'm the woman who can't seem to get pregnant.

"Could I give up chocolate and cake if I had a small bundle of love for the rest of my life? Yes! But the disappointment every month and the years of never having a stripe on a test makes me comfort eat.

"Does that make me weak? Probably. But yes I would give anything to be a mother, to be called mum."

The couple's relationship was reportedly under strain before Andrew's operation last year in part because of their quiet sex life.

But with Andrew's weight loss, Sharon is more hopeful of becoming a mother as his libido has increased.
