GARDAI have arrested a wanted fugitive in hiding from the UK’s National Crime Agency.

Alleged drug baron Brian Capon, 32, was arrested by members of the Extradition FAST team attached to the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Identification of Capon, from Manchester UK, who was arrested last Thursday in Dublin, was made easier by the distinctive three star tattoo below his left ear.

He has already appeared in court and is due to come before a judge again later this week as part of attempts to extradite him back to the UK.

British police suspect Capon of being part of a mob distributing cocaine, cannabis and amphetamines in Manchester.

Capon is additionally wanted by Greater Manchester Police on suspicion of possessing class A and B drugs with intent to supply following the discovery of a quantity of drugs at his property in July 2017.

Greg McKenna of the NCA — Britain’s answer to CAB — previously said: “Criminal gangs involved in the supply of drugs are also involved in violence and exploitation which has a direct impact on our communities.”
