THE pub where the Skripals drank shortly before they collapsed with Novichok poisoning could reopen in months.

The Mill in Salisbury, Wilts, has been shut since Sergei, 66, and Yulia, 33, were targeted with the nerve agent in March.

The Russian spy and his daughter drank there before eating at nearby Italian restaurant Zizzi.

The Greene King pub has been decontaminated by staff from the Environment Department.

The department said: “The work to decontaminate The Mill pub has been successfully completed and we have handed the site back to Wiltshire Council, who have in turn passed it back to the owners to begin refurbishment.”

Andrea Greenwood, operations manager for The Mill, said: “It’s good to get the pub back.”
