Aviation enthusiasts wanting to live close to their personal plane have the opportunity of a lifetime, with house and hangar packages available right next to a country NSW airport.

The plots of land are from 39 to 110 on Spitfire Drive in Temora, which is around 420km southwest of Sydney in the Riverina region of NSW.

Seven of the 20 blocks have sold so far, with buyers coming from as far as Western Australia to secure their spot in the exclusive community.

The blocks of land range in price from $80,000 up to $140,000 depending on the size, all coming with services like power, gas and sewage, as well as sealed road.

The incredible facilities mean those who buy a property have the luxury of taxiing their plane from the airport right to their hangar at home.

One of the selling agents, Kelly Whitton of Gersbach Firman Real Estate, said it was a really unique offering.

“A lot of the buyers have moved out from places like Sydney as they have flying as their hobby,” she said.

“The majority of them have their own plane or are looking to get into it.”

The Spitfire Drive release is the final of four stages in the Temora Airpark Estate, with the town home to the Temora Aviation Museum and Australia’s only two flying Spitfires.

Bev Pellow of QPL Rural is also selling the lots and said Temora’s rich flying history started back during World War II when a flying school was established in the town.

“The runway facilities are great and it’s really filling up out there,” she said.

The land lots are joint listed with Gersbach Firman Real Estate, QPL Rural, Miller and James and MF Brennan and Co.
