FORMER TV golden girl Heather Locklear is facing three new charges related to her alleged assault on a police officer and an emergency responder.

Ms Locklear, 56, was charged on Thursday in connection with a June 24 disturbance at her home.

She was arrested back in June after police and emergency responders (EMT) checked on her during a disturbance call.

TMZ reports Ms Locklear allegedly punched an officer and an EMT when they tried to put her on a stretcher.

The EMT claims he was seriously injured in the ordeal.

She had not been charged over this incident until today. Now she faces one count of misdemeanour (interfering with a law enforcement officer) and two counts of misdemeanour battery for the alleged attacking of first responders.

The charges were filed during a hearing in California’s Ventura County Superior Court on Thursday (local time).

Ms Locklear was also arrested in February for felony domestic violence as well as an unrelated assault on a police officer. In this case she was charged with five criminal offences.

The three new charges from the June incident have been added to the initial complaint.

TMZ claims after an alleged domestic incident involving her parents in June, Ms Locklear was committed to hospital on an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold. It’s understood she went to rehab after her release.

Ms Locklear is best known for her roles in Dynasty and Melrose Place.

She is also known for her high-profile past romances with Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.
