A NEWLYWED couple were forced to eat doughnuts instead of their three-tiered cake after the groom’s ex-wife trashed their wedding.

A bizarre thread has popped up on Bored Panda, telling the story of a disastrous wedding – from the viewpoint of a doughnut shop manager.

It emerges that the groom’s ex-wife discovered he was getting remarried and was determined to ruin the day.

The said: “The groom apparently had a psycho ex, who had been stalking them and found out about the wedding.

“She became enraged that he was getting remarried.

“She stormed into the venue, grabbed the wedding cake and chucked it at the newlyweds!

“I mean she-hulking a beautiful, three-tier cake!

“Then she began screaming, before grabbing wine bottles that she smashed on the ground."

The ex was restrained by the groomsmen and the police were called, and according to the thread the she was arrested and charged.

The manager continued: “The cake couldn’t be salvaged, since it was a combination of smashed and pelted with broken glass.”

It emerged that after the cake was ruined a guest phoned the manager of the doughnut shop, and dashed in to buy virtually all of their stock.

In the absence of a cake, the couple had a ‘ceremonial cream puff’ complete with eclairs iced with their names and ‘congrats’.

The manager continued: “They ultimately enjoyed the remainder of their night, but the bride’s gown was destroyed, a good amount of linens were ruined and an arrest was made.

“The wife was laughing and smiling in all the pictures, even with cake and frosting plastered all over her once gorgeous dress.

“She said it was going to be one of ‘those stories’ that she’s going to laugh about with her kids in years to come.”
