A GRIEVING mum has lashed out at "soft justice" after a thug who kicked and punched her disabled son avoided jail for a third time.

Violent Aarron Peet was 15 when he and another teenager attacked 28-year-old Scott Hall, who later died from a bleed on the brain.

Scott's mum Carol, 59, has now blasted his latest suspended sentence for a race attack on two students.

The now 19-year-old avoided jail despite being in custody for breaching his previous sentence.

She told The Daily Mirror: "You wonder what he has to do to go to jail? I cannot believe he is out on the streets again."

Carol questioned why Peet "did not go jail this time after yet another violent attack".

Neither was Peet or the other teen was charged over Scott’s death and were instead given referral orders instead of jail.

The Daily Mirror reports Peet received a community sentence as no direct link could be proven to the injuries Scott suffered and the attack.

Then in January last year Peet was one of three teens involved in a series of violent incidents, The Daily Mirror reports.

He admitted affray and using threatening behaviour and got an eight-month jail term suspended for two years.

Now Peet, of Durham, has been handed another suspended sentence for a “shameful” race attack on two foreign students with his dad and brother last December.

Centre for Crime Prevention research director David Spencer said: “This case begs the question how many violent assaults does a person have to commit before he faces jail?"

The British Martial Arts and Boxing Association said: “If someone has a criminal record for violence, they should not be involved in martial arts without safeguarding checks.” But it added checks “are down to the clubs”.
