Shen Ye, the developer whose algorithm correctly predicted the date that Google Play downloads would reach 25 billion has a new prediction for the 50 billion mark. According to Ye’s data, Google Play downloads will reach 50 billion on June 9th, just a few days away.

According to Ye’s spreadsheet, the 50 billion mark is right on track for Sunday. Last month, the store reached 48 billion downloads. This was a week before Ye had predicted, but the developer has adjusted the algorithm accordingly.

Whether Ye’s algorithm proves to right on the money this time remains to be seen. But Google Play downloads will be hitting 50 billion in a mater of days!
