Google is preparing to introduce a new Policy Center for AdWords later this year. According to the company, these will be streamlined and more transparent, making it easier for advertisers to figure out what they should do to comply and, implicitly, what they shouldn't do.

A preview has already been made available by the Internet giant and you can view it on the company’s page. Basically, the new updated version tries to be clear enough so that no misunderstandings happen in the future, where advertisers accuse Google of taking down their content for the wrong reasons.

For instance, under the new rules, Google won’t allow the promotion of counterfeit goods. In order for these to qualify for this category, they need to contain a trademark or logo that is identical to the trademark of another item, trying to pass as a genuine product.

Dangerous products or services will also be prohibited. Google gives an example by pointing out that recreational drugs, psychoactive substances, equipment to facilitate drug use, weapons, ammunition, explosive materials and fireworks, tobacco, as well as instructions for making explosives or other harmful products, are all off limits.

Products or services that enable dishonest behavior, such as spy surveillance devices, hacking software, services designed to artificially inflate ads or website traffic, fake documents and more are also on Google’s blacklist.
