THIS is the moment a gang of yobs attacked a Just Eat delivery man as he dropped off a takeaway - before allegedly stealing his bike.

The victim told how he was dropping off a KFC order in Moston, Manchester, on Saturday afternoon when 10 youths set upon him.

Members of the gang punched his back and kicked his ankles after their accomplice stole his phone, the driver told the Manchester Evening News.

They then allegedly stole bike was then stolen after he jumped off it and ran after them during the robbery, which happened on Cicero Street at about 3pm.

The 31-year-old said he has been left 'shaken' by the incident and wants to warn others.

He said: "I was totally shaken up. I couldn't sleep last night to be honest.

"It's the first time I have found myself in this situation. When I first arrived there at the address, it was like a ghost town.

"In my gut I felt I shouldn't have delivered it. I don't know why I carried on delivering it."

Video footage taken on the victim's head camera shows the gang, with their hoods up, approach the victim and ask for food while he delivers the takeaway.

They then grab his bike and chase after him as he tries to get away.

He shouts "someone help" as the one of the gang members steals his phone, which is clipped onto his bike.

He said at this point, he was kicked and punched from behind as he cycled after the thief.

The victim is heard yelling "someone help me" and "oh my god, oh my god", from the top of his lungs as he chases after the gang.

He gets off his bike and considers chasing the gang down an alley, before deciding against it.

It was at this point, he claims, that his bike was stolen off-camera.

He said: "I stopped and realised that if I continued chasing after them and went towards the alleyway, then they might have jumped me. I was thinking of my family, my life is more important than my phone."

The victim said he went back to the address where he delivered the KFC order following the ordeal, and the customer gave him her phone to call police.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called to a report of a robber on a food courier on Cicero Street at 3pm on November 10.
