A DESPERATE search is under way for a young snowboarder who vanished in Victoria yesterday.

Sean Street, 22, had been snowboarding at Mt Hotham on the Great Alpine Road and was last seen boarding a shuttle bus to Hotham Central about 4.45pm Tuesday.

Mr Street has not been in touch with family or friends since, and there are growing concerns for welfare because he has a condition that requires medication.

Mr Street’s worried family and friends have been sharing his image on social media in the hope somebody will spot him.

“Please help find my nephew, he is a beautiful person,” Nicole Street wrote.

Bonny Street-Harris pleaded: “Come home, we all love you.”

Police believe after arriving at Hotham Central, Mr Street took a bus to Harrietsville, to where his car was parked and got inside.

They have not been able to locate the vehicle, a 2014 white Ford Ranger with registration 1AZ 6PB, and believe he may be headed to the Mornington Peninsula or Echuca.

Anyone who sights Mr Street is urged to contact Mt Hotham Police Station on 5759 3535.
