A BARRISTER specialising in rape and family abuse cases asked a trainee: “Ever taken a woman from behind?”

Married Robert Kearney also draped his arm round them and boasted about how he “b*******ed another chambers dry”.

A tribunal found Kearney was “in a drunken state” and sat “uncomfortably close” to the trainee lawyer at a boozy event in Preston last October.

Kearney, of Lincoln House Chambers in Manchester, was reprimanded and fined £1,000 last week at a Bar hearing in London. One lawyer said: “He was very lucky.”

Kearney also works for the CPS, which said staff must “behave in line with our rules of conduct”.

Lincoln House said it is following its own “disciplinary procedure”.
