"Political order". Expert on the publications of Western media about the RF Armed Forces

The media reminded the people of Britain about the "Dead Hand" of Russia. In the West, they are excessively involved in scolding Russia, said military political scientist Andrei Koshkin on Sputnik radio.

The British edition of the Daily Star recalled the existence of the Russian nuclear strike control system Perimeter.

The "Perimeter" system, known in the West as the "Dead Hand", is a fully automatic complex for controlling a massive nuclear retaliation, developed in the USSR during the Cold War.

One of the leading experts on nuclear disarmament, Bruce Blair, said in an interview with the newspaper that the system is still functioning and even improving.

Despite the "horrifying concept" of the complex, Perimeter contributes to reducing the risk of nuclear war, the expert believes. In his view, Perimeter is an acceptable and ethical way of preventing nuclear war.

"The existence of the" Dead Hand "means that the West will think twice if there is a temptation to use nuclear weapons," the publication writes.

At the same time, Blair expressed the opinion that if Perimeter can be vulnerable to cyber attacks, it will pose a threat to world security.

Military political scientist, head of the department of political science and sociology of the RAS. Plekhanov Andrei Koshkin on air radio Sputnik suggested how this publication will be perceived in Britain.

"Today, the countries of the collective West are no longer able to do anything on their own - everyone must obey a certain control mechanism from Washington, they are overly keen to scold Russia, while Russia is doing everything to reduce the risk of a possible uncontrolled process that will lead In this situation, any more or less objective publications in the West about the Russian Armed Forces are a huge rarity, unfortunately, today it is very active, many and sometimes not entirely believably written about rugom - about some kind of aggression that allegedly comes from Russia, it is done on a political order to create a tough confrontation, "- believes Andrei Koshkin.

On March 1, Vladimir Putin in his message to the Federal Assembly told about the creation of the newest types of weapons in Russia, including hypersonic weapons. The President presented the Sarmat missile system, underwater drones, a cruise missile with a nuclear power plant, the Dzhazhar missile and laser weapons.

The President stressed that Russia does not threaten anyone and is not going to attack anyone, and new developments are called upon to "ensure the country's security."
