EX-boxing champ Ricky Hatton has become a grandad – at the age of 39!

His son Campbell Hatton became a dad for the first time when his daughter Lyla Nevaeh was born.

The 17-year-old’s sweetheart Keira Brown gave birth to the tot, weighing 6lb 12 oz, on Monday.

Keira, 16, posted the good news along with a photograph of the baby on her Facebook page – just hours after her new arrival.

She was swamped with messages of congratulations from friends and well-wishers.

But there was no mention of amateur boxer Campbell, who dreams of following in his dad’s footsteps by turning pro next year – sparking fears the couple have split up.

Friends said Keira hid her pregnancy for weeks after discovering she was expecting because she was scared about how people would react.

A pal said: “Keira is over the moon. She is well aware that she is very young to have a baby of her own but is determined to be the best mum possible.

“Keira was frightened about how people would react at first but when she saw her baby girl for the first time when she went for a scan, she wanted to tell the world.”

Keira last uploaded a cosy photograph posing with Campbell on her timeline in February – a few months into her pregnancy.

It is not clear if Campbell has met his daughter.

Dad of three Hatton – nicknamed The Hitman – has severed ties with his parents, Roy and Carol, six years ago following a row over money.

The ex-world welterweight champ has not spoken to them since – banning them from seeing their grandchildren.
