Don't comprimise quality for size, You'll be amazed what a few extra GB to file size can do quality wise.
Plus HDDs are so cheap nowadays, why don't you just go with larger quality rips.

BTW I hate scene releases, probably because they care about releasing first so It's lower quality, plus they have rules and stuff, like you can find a 3 hour movie 1080p and it's around 8-10 GB, how is that possible if the quality doesn't suck, their bitrate for 1080p is around 8 - 12 Mbps which is pretty low imo.

i just prefer 2-3gb sizes as they will fit on dvd easier without me having to buy dual layer disks and the encoders like flawless vision etc do a great job of quality for size.

LMAO. Agreed kristy. I dont burn. I have a 1.5TB FAT32 formatted USB external. I have a PS3 thats hooked up to my 42in 1080p panasonic plasma with a 5.1 sony 1000watt surround. Trust me... Flawl3ss or vision rips on my system does it major justice. I would never download a 10gb rip. You are just too picky.

Not to mention downloading 10gb rips everytime you are wanting to watch a movie DOES NOT do your ratio justice. :-)

    i totally agree withyou soccerplayer.
AHD has the best encoders after HDBits.org and it's ecodes is better than scene release.
scene is sucks if compared to AHD encoders like D-zon3, xander, de[42] and many.

i was like you kristy like movies in 2-3GB and said it is better than DVD then i watch it in 5 GB then 720p 6GB then 1080p 7GB untill i saw AHD encodes 1080p 14GB and i stuck with them now and never ever back to DVD or this shit again.
Plus like soccerplayer said HDD is cheap nowadays.
you judge and you never watch their release. watch the same movie one in 3GB and one from HAD encodes and judge by yourself.
if you don't have AHD and want invite PM me.

Think about that though. I own 400 movies that are on my digital external 1tb drive. I cant have possibly 400 movies that are 14 gb. And neither can you unless you have about 6 TB worth of storage space laying around.

Yes. They just got better too. That was ALL i downloaded when was downloading on public tracking sites. They are all .mkv files now though. Kind of a bummer. I watch everything on my PS3 and PS3 do not support .mkv files. So, I downloaded a program to transfer but its a pain in the butt to transfer them everytime. And honestly, I dont see how people can tell that much of a difference. Of course you can tell some little differences in dark scenes and such... But for the extra 10 gb per movie? Nah, ill be alright.
