A GUNMAN reportedly killed his baby daughter, his wife and her grandparents before turning the gun on himself in a sickening murder-suicide in Texas yesterday.

Randy J Horn has been named in local reports as the man behind the bloodbath in the town of Blanchard on Monday morning.

The 54-year-old was found dead alongside his wife Ashley Horn, 27, their 15-month-old daughter Ranley, and Ashley's grandparents Lynda and Carlos Delaney, according to DailyMail.com.

Emergency services rushed to the rural address in Polk County at around 10:30am local time yesterday amid reports of an ongoing assault.

But officers arrived to find a bloodbath - with the victims suffering "apparent gunshot woulds", the local Sheriff's Office said.

The shooting happened at the Delaney Ranch - owned by Mr and Mrs Delaney - about 70miles north east of Houston.

HORRIFIC DISCOVERY
Police initially described the scene as "extremely fluid".

But in a later press conference authorities revealed that Horn and Carlos' bodies were found inside the house along with multiple weapons.

Ashley, Lynda, and Ranley's bodies were discovered outside.

Police also revealed that the sole survivor was Ashley's mother Elly - who heard the first gunshots around 5.30am on Monday.

She managed to lock herself in her bedroom and call her son who then alerted the police.

Terri Robinson, who was close friends with Lynda and Carlos, told DailyMail.com that Ashley had been married to Horn for "three or four years" - but was considering leaving him.

Ms Robinson said that Ashley was visiting her grandparents regularly amid speculation she was on the verge of walking out on her husband.

She added: "I was told that she was probably leaving him.

"I hope he rots in hell. Because that family was the most giving, deserving family I know.

"They would give you the shirts off their backs."

CHILLING FACEBOOK POSTS
Horn had been out drinking and gambling just hours before he allegedly murdered his family.

In a chilling Facebook post, he uploaded a photo of the floor at the bar covered with blood.

He wrote in a caption: "And this is why I can't be out in the bars at night...blood on the floor!"

On the same day, Horn wrote another ominous Facebook post.

It read: "It's time to pay up for all the bad decisions you made in life.

"Never bet your life on someone because you never know."

Misty Robinson, Ashley's best friend of 16 years, said Horn would become aggressive after drinking.

She said: "I hung out with them both but I didn't know him that well.

"He got drunk when I hung out with them once and kept wanting to fight someone in the bar."

Detectives from the sheriff's department are investigating along with the Texas Rangers.
