A SHOCKING video has emerged showing an 81-year-old driver ploughing his car into a group of cyclists before driving away as the injured lie sprawled on the road.

Martin Wills was one of the cyclists taken down in the crash, which happened in the UK last November.

He escaped with just cuts and bruises but his wife Sandra wasn’t so lucky.

She was knocked unconscious in the traumatic incident and left nursing a broken finger and cracked ribs.

Another cyclist lost part of her ear and had a deep gash to her leg.

Footage from a camera mounted to Mr Wills’ helmet captured the confronting vision.

The cyclists were riding single file along a busy road prior to the crash.

As the motorist overtakes the cyclist he clips the back of a bike, throwing one cyclist forward into the riders in front, smashing them onto the road.

The elderly driver does not slow down as he flees the destruction behind him, the high impact of the horror crash leaving riders injured and their bikes destroyed.

The driver, Michael Tarrant, admitted to dangerous driving at Taunton Crown Court in England on July 9.

He was disqualified from driving for two years and must sit a practical driving test before he can get back behind the wheel.
