MOSCOW, March 9 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. President of the United States Donald Trump agreed to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-no until May, said South Korean National Security Advisor Chon Yi Yong.

President of the United States Donald Trump agreed to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-no, the White House press secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed. According to her, the time and place of the meeting will be agreed later, meanwhile sanctions and pressure on the DPRK will be preserved.

"He (Trump) will accept an invitation to meet with Kim Jong-no in that place and at a time to be determined, and we are looking forward to the denuclearization of North Korea." Meanwhile, all sanctions and maximum pressure must remain, "Sanders said in a statement.

The optimism of Seoul and Washington

Seoul and Washington are optimistic about resolving the problem of the DPRK, said South Korean Presidential Security Advisor Chon Yi Yong.

"Together with President Trump, we are optimistic about the continuation of the diplomatic study of the peaceful resolution (the situation around the DPRK)," Chon Yi Yong said after the meeting in the White House.

"The Republic of Korea, together with the United States, Japan and many partners around the world, remain fully and resolutely committed to the full denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula," he added.

A representative of the US administration said, in turn, that any agreement with the DPRK should be accompanied by mechanisms for its verification, that is, verification of its implementation.

"Obviously, the verification goes along with any acceptable agreement aimed at the irreversible denuclearization of North Korea, and for less we do not agree," the official commented on the possibility of a deal with the DPRK.

Warning to Pyongyang

Last Tuesday, the US administration warned that if the DPRK's signals about readiness for talks are aimed at delaying the development of its nuclear program, the talks will not last long.

"They (the DPRK) are massively producing nuclear warheads and nuclear missiles, and this can continue even if there are no test launches. If their plan is simply to buy time to continue building their (nuclear) arsenal, the negotiations will not go far ", A source in the administration told journalists.
