Do violent video games lead to behavior problems?

What do you guys think? As for me I had played violent games and I had never thought of going out to kill people or do something stupid. I guess it depends on the person since everybody is different. What is your opinion on this matter?

I Agree With Your Opinion ,
As It Depends On The Person , & Not Violent Games Only That Leads To Behaviour Problems
For Example , Need For Speed Game < Many People Are Doing Greatly Stupid Things By Their Own Cars
To Be The Most Wanted .. lol
At Last , These Games Are Affecting Many People OfCourse , But It Certainly Differ .

    Definitely not.

Attention-seeking "family" groups have always targeted video games for the benefit of their censorship agenda, but now they're being targeted by gun-rights advocates to distract from the real issue.

The only problem is that there's absolutely no connection between video games and violence. There's not even a correlation let alone causation. It's just a hunch, or in many cases intentional dishonesty to further a political interest. It's possible that video games, or movies, or music, or any other entertainment form are inspiring some insane person who already has mental issues, but if that's the case they of course are not the actual cause. There's a reason these politicians never sight any studies or research on this, and that's not because the research hasn't been done, it's because they actually show a negative correlation between video games and violence (once again though this isn't establishing a cause). Any actual psychologist will tell you it's a bunch of nonsense.

    So that's my rant

I don't think violent games lead behavior problems as it's entirely upto people's own attitude and mentality.

it depends on how we play the game
just for fun or seriously we need this thing to win?
so it does really matter on behavior when we play violent games

It's inside you and all around you. You live in matrix world, you could always catch a virus from untrusted source/activity

It surely depends on the mental stability of a child. For normal people there are no behavior problems because you can yourself decide what is good from what is bad, reality from virtuality. If a child already had problems on his own which are not attended by his parents then that plus anything relalted to violance will eventually lead to more complicated behaviour problems. The violent game just amplifies what's already there, it doesn't change yourself.

I think this is a pretty interesting topic. I've always been of the opinion that video games can affect what we do/think. Of course, this doesn't mean that they always do. Surely, the time when a person's mind is most impressionable is when they are little (though there are "adults" with highly-impressionable minds as well). The problem with violent games is when parent's ignore the rating and hand the game to their 10-year-old boy. Though, this is a problem with parents, not video games. I think it's strange that people often overlook this issue and blame the games themselves.
