A second plane flew to Moscow with Russian diplomats expelled from the United States

WASHINGTON, April 1 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. The second plane of the special flight detachment "Russia" with Russian diplomats, who earlier departed from Washington on Saturday, took another 14 families of Russians in New York and flew to Moscow.

According to the Flightradar 24 portal, the Il-96-300 aircraft flew from the John F. Kennedy airport at 20.51 local time (03.51 Moscow time). It is expected that both aircraft will arrive in the capital airport "Vnukovo".

In total, taking into account family members of diplomats, 171 Russians left the US on Saturday.

On Monday, March 26, US authorities demanded that 60 Russian diplomats, including 12 members of the mission of the Russian Federation to the UN, leave the country, and also close the consulate general of the Russian Federation in Seattle and ordered to leave the seat of the consul general in Seattle until April 25. This expulsion of diplomats became the largest in the recent history of relations between the two countries.
