MOSCOW, March 9 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. Billionaire Oleg Deripaska considers the talk about "Russian interference" as an example of false and cynical manipulation within the American political process. He wrote about this in an article published on the portal The Daily Caller.

The situation reminded the businessman of the plot of the film "The tail wags the dog" (or "Rummage", 1997).

"The technology and the disintegration of journalism of facts have allowed an amazingly small group of people to destroy bilateral and multilateral relations and are motivated to turn uncomfortable reality into a desired for the sake of power and military industrial commercial interests," Deripaska said.

In the article, he notes that he is personally acquainted with this group of people - a "deep (shadow) state" - media managers, businessmen, government officials and members of the intelligence community who manipulate public opinion by imposing false views on the public.

"Before their ambitions grew to the present revision of the results of the presidential elections in the United States, they for decades brutally and secretly attacked me and others. The various roles and story lines that they created for me did not stand up to criticism, were internally inconsistent, but their authors simply followed the script of "Tail": "We do not need this to be true. It will be enough to divert attention, "- said the Russian businessman.

Among those who finance media manipulations on Russia, Deripaska called the "group of billionaires from the Silicon Valley" and George Soros.

Russia has repeatedly refuted accusations of trying to influence elections in foreign countries. In the Kremlin, these versions were called "absolutely unsubstantiated," and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that there were no facts confirming any interference in the electoral process of Western countries.
