Two men have been charged after drugs and $20,000 were seized from their car during a traffic stop at Unley.

Patrols noticed a black Toyota sedan travelling on King William Rd about 10.30pm on Saturday and stopped the vehicle.

After speaking to the driver and passenger, they decided to search the sedan.

Police will allege they found methamphetamine and $20,000 cash in a hidden compartment in the centre console.

A Kensington man, 46, and a Teringie man, 50, were arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug. The items and their car were seized as evidence.

The pair were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in February.
