Cops hunt female killer, 28, who bathed in her victim’s blood

A FEMALE killer who bathed in her victim's blood and posed for a photograph with his body has gone on the run after getting into a fight following her release.

Karen Duncan, 28, was jailed for seven years in March 2008 for her part in the gruesome murder of Scott Burgess at his flat in Paisley, Glasgow.

The killer, who was just 17 at the time, stabbed Mr Burgess twice with a screwdriver while her then lover, Stephen Price, slaughtered him with a knife in an attack where the victim was stabbed more than 80 times.

The duo were photographed by Duncan's sister Irene posing with the victim's body and splashing each other in a red bath as they washed his blood off him following the killing in August 2007.

Price pleaded guilty to murder and was jailed for life while Duncan admitted culpable homicide and was caged for seven years. Her sister was sentenced to 27 months.

During the court case, the judge was told how the victim was killed in revenge for derogatory comments he made about Price's friends.

The female killer is thought to have been released after serving four years of her sentence but police have now issued a warrant for her arrest after she failed to show up to court to be sentenced over another row she had with a woman in the same town where her victim lived.

According to the Scottish Sun, on October 3 last year Duncan issued threats and screamed abuse at another woman, Stacey Murdoch leaving her "in a state of fear or alarm".

Duncan previously pleaded guilty and was due to return to the dock on Friday to learn her fate.

But when she did not appear for sentencing, Sheriff Frances McCartney granted a warrant for her arrest.

She was originally sentenced to just over seven years behind bars and told she would be supervised for three years once released from custody over Mr Burgess' killing.

Irene was released after serving her sentence and went on to clock up a number of offences, including a knife attack and police assault.

And earlier this month it emerged she would spend Christmas behind bars and have to give birth while in prison after she was jailed for a Paisley knife rampage.

She was spotted "holding two large kitchen knives at around waist height" and running along Bank Street with the weapons.

Police officers called to investigate later found the knives and a screwdriver, the same type of weapons used to kill Mr Burgess, on the ground near to where she was.

Sheriff David Pender jailed Irene for 22 months and placed her on a nine-month-long Supervised Release Order, which will see her supervised in the community for nine months for that offence.
