MOSCOW, June 29 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. President of the United States Donald Trump intends to use the meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin for agreements that will help to withdraw American troops from Syria as soon as possible, CNN reports referring to diplomatic sources.

According to sources, Trump this week discussed the issue of the US withdrawal from Syria during a meeting in the White House with Jordan's King Abdullah II. The channel's interlocutors reported that, according to Trump's plan, the US would allow the Syrian authorities to regain control over the territory in the Jordanian border area in exchange for Russia's guarantees that Damascus would not pursue the rebel-based rebels, allowing them to leave the region.

Trump also expects that Russia will create a zone of de-escalation in the south-west of Syria, preventing the pro-Iranian forces from penetrating there. The ousting of Iran from Syria is a key part of the US president's plan to "withdraw from Syria," sources said.

The meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will be held in Helsinki on July 16. The Presidents intend to discuss the prospects for further development of relations between the Russian Federation and the United States, as well as topical issues on the international agenda.
