The axing of Ricicles is set to leave a hole in Brits’ hearts – but before the cereal is taken out of production, it is leaving a hole in some of our pockets

Cunning shoppers who recently bought boxes of the sugary cereal are cashing in by selling them on eBay for as much as £9 per box.

People are not getting medical help because 'they're ashamed of their bodies' And cereal fans are taking advantage of the opportunity to stock up before Ricicles are gone forever, even though they are on sale for much more than the normal cost of £2.79 for a 450g box.

One seller has already sold four boxes for £5.59 each, plus an extra £3.49 for postage – a total of £9.08.

Earlier this week, Kellogg’s announced plans to cut the amount of sugar in their products by between 20% and 40% by next summer, leading to the death of Ricicles.

But some fans of the cereal are ensuring their supply isn’t drained just yet – including one person who paid £35 for 10 450g boxes.

The popular breakfast snack is being withdrawn from distribution immediately, Kellogg’s said.

The company said it will also stop adding promotions aimed at children on boxes of Frosties.

Other popular cereals have survived but will have their sugar content cut in the coming months.

These include Coco Pops, which will be 40% less sugary under its new recipe, due to be introduced in July 2018.

Rice Krispies will have 20% less sugar, while Rice Krispies Multi-grain Shapes will have its sugar content reduced by 30%.
