Bulldog Biggie that ‘ripped off and ate’ man’s genitals is put down

A DEVIL dog believed to have ripped off and ate a man's genitals has been put down.

Bulldog Biggie attacked the 22-year-old at flat in Haddington, East Lothian, last week.

The victim tonight remains in serious condition in hospital a full ten days after the horror mauling on 7 October.

He was found lying in a pool of blood with sickening injuries to his groin and taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he was induced into a coma.

There are fears the mutt may have eaten the organs — making it impossible for them to be reattached.

Police confirmed the owner of the Olde English Bulldogge — a crossbreed developed in the US in the 1970s — allowed for the animal to be put down.

A spokesman said: "Inquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of how a 22-year-old man sustained significant injury to his groin area, while within an address in Haddington on Sunday October 7.

"However, as part of this investigation the owner of the dog, which is believed to have been involved, has voluntarily signed documentation consenting to the destruction of the animal.

"This has now taken place after protracted dialogue between the Crown Office, Scottish SPCA and the East Lothian Council Dog Warden."

We told last week how the victim was seen walking the dog believed to be behind the attack just days before he was brutally ravaged.

Shocked neighbours told The Sun Online they saw the man, who we are not naming, walk through the high street with the mutt.
