WOMB raider killer Brooke Crews sliced her pregnant neighbour “from hip to hip” before ripping out her baby with her bare hands, it has been claimed.

Savanna Greywind, 22 – who was eight months pregnant when she went missing – was found wrapped in plastic after being dumped in the Red River near Fargo in North Dakota.

She was lured to Brooke’s flat in August 2017 to help with a sewing project.

But after getting there, she was knocked out before being dragged into a bathroom while Crews performed a crude C-section – without anaesthetic.

Jurors heard how Savanna had been cut “hip from hip”.

Brooke’s boyfriend William Hoehn reportedly stood over the bloodied corpse and remarked: “If she’s not dead, she is now.”

He claimed Crews showed him the newborn and said: “This is our baby. This is our family.”

Speaking before she was caged for life, Brooke said: “There is no excuse. There is no rationalization. There is nothing.”

She told police that she invited over Savanna, who lived downstairs from her, on August 19 and taught her how to self-induce birth by breaking her water.

She then claimed Savanna came back two days later at 3.30 a.m. and gave her the baby girl.

But she later plead guilty to murder and kidnapping.

Norberta LaFontaine-Greywind, one of four family members to give statements during sentencing, said the attack was “beyond evil,” and said she was suffering horrific nightmares.

Her husband, Joe Greywind, said the family is trying to heal, “but we find it nearly impossible.”
