A group of brazen thieves ran into an Apple store and swiped thousands of dollars worth of computer gear as shoppers and staff could do nothing but watch.

The thefts happened at the Apple Sore in Fresno, California and, according to reports the suspects, who police believe were aged around 16-18, shoved customers out of the way to escape.

According to ABC Action news the thieves took 26 items worth $36,000.

Lt Mark Hudson of the Fresno Police Department told ABC: "Various iPhones, the iPhone 6, iPhone 7 and 8, and even the new iPhone X was taken in this grand theft".

No weapons were used, according to reports, and police are investigating if the theft is linked to similar crimes.
