A SCHOOLBOY has been charged with murder after a 47-year-old man was knifed to death in Chelmsford.

Cops in Essex arrested the boy, 15, after a two-month investigation into the murder of "loving" dad Lee Evans.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is expected to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

It comes after Kyle Sullivan, 23, was charged in connection with the murder in June.

Lee was stabbed to death on Cromer Way, Chelmsford on June 22.

He was rushed to hospital but died shortly after arrival.

Mr Evans’ family released a tribute which said: "Lee was a kind, protective and loving person.

"Lee was very kind, not just to people in the family, but to others as well who knew he would be there to look after them. He loved being with people.

"Although he was living a lifestyle he wouldn't have chosen, he was caring and protective of his family and friends. He idolised his son, and loved his nephews.

"Animals were Lee’s passion, including his dogs Roxy and Millie. He was very soft at heart."
