POLICE are today investigating after the bodies of a man and woman were found at an East London home overnight.

Officers were called to the home after concerns for the welfare of the occupants were flagged last night.

A Met Police spokesperson confirmed the bodies had been found in Fairfield Road.

They said: "At this early stage, there is nothing to indicate that the deaths are suspicious."

Enquiries are now ongoing to establish their identities.

Officers from Tower Hamlets are now investigating.

London Ambulance Service were also called, with a spokesperson saying: "We were called at 9:07pm yesterday (26 September) to Fairfield Road, Bow to reports of an incident.

"We sent our hazardous area response team (HART) to the scene.

"Sadly, two people were dead at the scene and we were stood down."
