Blackpool fan jumps on Arsenal coach

A BLACKPOOL fan jumped on top of the Arsenal coach in a desperate bid to get their FA Cup clash postponed.

Supporters of the Seasiders attempted to stall Gunners' team bus as part of their long-running protest against the Oyston family ahead of third-round tie at Bloomfield Road - which the Gunners won 3-0.

One supporter took it upon himself by leaping on top of the bus to make his point heard, with Blackpool fans applauding the stunt.

Blackpool supporters have been protesting against the Oyston regime since the mid-1990s in a bid to wrestle away control of the club.

After seeing one loyal fan leap on top of the Arsenal ban, one Twitter user wrote: "Well done Blackpool fans keep fighting."

Another said: "Lol at the Blackpool fans delaying the arsenal team bus in Preston."

A third wrote: "Blackpool fans boycotting the arsenal coach yeah! desperate that."

Despite the delay in Preston, Arsenal do have a second bus on hand to get to the stadium for the 5.30pm kickoff.

Lancashire Police released a statement on the stunt, saying: "At around 3pm today we received a report that a Blackpool supporter had climbed on to the roof of the Arsenal team coach which was parked in the car park of the Marriott Hotel.

"He was spoken to by officers and came down after around 40 minutes.

"A man has been arrested on suspicion of an offence under the Trade Union Act and remains in police custody."
