SoftBank, the Japan conglomerate that owns UK chip designer ARM Holdings, has reported a 49% increase in profit to 715bn yen ($4.9bn) for the quarter to June.
Profits were boosted by the sale of its stake in Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart to US retail giant Walmart as well as selling off most of ARM Holding's Chinese operations.
