Mate my country is in one of the biggest recessions we have ever seen, as is a lot of the world.

If you want to talk about paying household bills try paying €2500 a month like I am before I even consider buying food, if I couldn't afford an ISP connection then the answer is simple, I would do without it not steal it from my neighbor.

You have no way of knowing what ISP your stealing!

If you can justify this then where does it end

I guess we are just very different people.

it ends in weather my decision is harming that person, as far as i understand it, it would be like and extra person jsut using my internet from time to time, i am pretty sure people will no be dying or getting injured, anyways i jsut did not appreciate you telling me how a lot that tells about my character, you do not know me at all, if you are gonna start judging me about how this "little thing shows a lot crap" then i dont appreciate it

The only reason I'm doing this is that if even one person is considering doing this shit and reads this thread and stops to think that actually this is the wrong thing to do then I have achieved my goal, I'm not attacking you as such man, I'm attacking every scumbag out there that does this.

It's basically hacking into someones Internet connection, very similar to hacking an innocent members tracker account or hacking someones credit card details.

If you got the details your not just going to use a couple of mb's here and there man, your gonna max out their connection with Bittorrent traffic.

Anyway I got my point across, I never meant for this to drag out the way it did

I tried this too for the same reasons, but in the end, i dealt with it. I can download anything that i want without concerns about my ratio(exceptions of course, like a 50GB BluRay in a hard to seed tracker without seed points).

I pay the same as you for my 2MB broadband connection. My average speed is 230k down and 50k up, and i find enough to a home user.

Even if you make it, it's only a temporary option. The owner will probabbly find out and put a hell lot of new encryptions. The least you can do is lurk for better ISP's or talk to your neighbor, see if he "sells" his signal to you. Peaceful and honest.

    anything for windows mate?

The burger is not tough... hehe

OT: You will get nowhere without linux
I've tried to get into wpa2 enterprice once (school wifi) but failed

I agree with post that it is a little bit lame to steal your neighboors internet... Maybe if you go to him and tell him you don't have that much money you can work out a deal

You can emulate any Linux in Windows platform with VMWare.

I agree with brchan. I've used Backtrack in VMware for quite a while. In my profession (digital forensics) we normally use workstation units with writeblockers. LiveCD would also work well for you.

If you want todo this sort of thing you will need a wifi device capable of packet injection. A lot of intel ones don't facilitate that (on purpose). I use alfa awus036h with long range antenna and also mini dish for directional connections. I've also heard good things about atheros chipsets.

I went through a wardriving phase a few years ago after initially being taught it by lecturers. WEP is a joke to get into, WPA/WPA2 is easy aslong as its PSK. WEP cracking is a matter of collecting packets and collecting enough to be able to work out the key. WPA is different you have to spoof yourself as a legit client and then gather enough packets before doing a bruteforce attack. JTR can be configured to fire off any possibility of phrases to eventually break the key, can be time consuming. It was fun at the time, driftnet made it alot more fun and visually pleasing. After the phase wore off I become more ethical in my approach to things.

Been a couple of years now so if any info is not correct please correct me!
