The Ukrainian admiral stated about the "hybrid threat" from Russia in the Sea of Azov. At the same time, Kiev is not ready for large-scale actions, such an opinion on the radio Sputnik radio was expressed by political analyst Vladislav Gulevich.

Ukraine should be engaged in patrolling the Azov coast to counter the threat from Russia, the former deputy defense minister of Ukraine, Admiral Igor Kabanenko, said in an interview with Obozrevatel.

According to him, Moscow conducts naval exercises in the Azov Sea in close proximity to the Ukrainian coast, which is a "provocation" and a "hybrid threat of invasion from the sea."

According to the admiral, the Ukrainian authorities should respond to Russia for the sake of "preventing a crisis." "The first thing is patrolling the coastal zone, the territorial sea - 12 miles from the coast." The constant patrolling by the maritime security forces of the State Border Service of Ukraine is a deterrent, "he said.

In addition, the admiral called for the creation of mobile groupings of naval forces. "Yes, they will not be super-modern, but they will be able to contain the worst scenarios in the coastal waters," Kabanenko said.

In addition, the Admiral stated the need for Ukraine's cooperation with Western countries on this issue. At the same time, Kabanenko acknowledged that the cooperation of Kiev with NATO is complicated by the position of Hungary, which blocks a number of initiatives because of the oppression of the languages of ethnic minorities in Ukraine.

Earlier, the State Border Service of Ukraine stated that since April 30 the Russian side in the Sea of Azov has been stopping daily for the inspection of vessels following to Ukraine. The FSB reported that ship inspections were conducted in accordance with international maritime law.

Political analyst, publicist Vladislav Gulevich suggested that it is Kiev that can undertake in the water area of the Azov Sea.

"The Ukrainian authorities, once Russophobia has started on the road, can no longer turn from it, because it will be regarded as a rejection of their own ideological convictions, which is absolutely impossible in conditions when the street is controlled by nationalist groups when representatives of nationalist groups are included in the parliament. Perhaps experts understand the whole provocative nature of this statement that Russia is a threat in the Sea of Azov, but, nevertheless, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will have to pretend that it shares it It will be difficult to say how these actions will look in practice, but I think that there will not be anything ambitious - there will be some minor diplomatic and political dirty tricks, or such incidents as the detention of the Russian For large-scale actions, Ukraine has neither resources, nor readiness, nor finance, "Vladislav Gulevich said on Sputnik radio.

Earlier, the FSB warned of the threat from Ukrainian saboteurs. As told in an interview with RIA Novosti by the head of the FSB border service, Army General Vladimir Kulishov, there remains a danger of their penetration into the Crimea and the Rostov region.
