I was wondering if someone with an account on WCD could share what the monthly running costs of that place are (if the admins make such information available).

I ask because BTN and PTP have reported monthly running costs of around 1000 dollars and their user-bases are around 1/5 of that of WCD. So if all things are proportional, WCD's monthly running costs should be huge.

Conversely, if WCD's monthly running costs are not significantly higher, then why are BTN and PTP's monthly running costs so high?

This info is not available. They also own their servers so they only pay for colocation.

Of course you don't need that much money to run a private tracker such as BTN or PTP.

Its not only servers, many trackers pay for extra seedboxes, DDOS protection , uploaders bots or any other shit thats why cost go high

i am not an expert and dont really know how public vs private tracker compate at costs but a good private tracker to running without delay need a very expensive server at first
